Entries for Windsor International Piano Masterclass 2018 are now closed.

 

After the incredible success of the 3rd Windsor International Piano Masterclass, we are pleased to announce that we are hosting them in 2018!

 

Masterclass will take place on 6th - 9th July 2018 at Windsor Piano School, Windsor, UK. 

 

The event will be led by Prof. Giulio Potenza, Prof. Francesca Vidal and Prof. Edita Stankeviciute.

 

The Course

  • The number of individual lessons per participant is four.
  • The duration of each lesson is one hour.
  • A certificate of attendance will be issued to every student.
  • Concert for all aarticipants at Grosvenor Chapel, Mayfair, UK.
  • There is no restriction to the age of students.
  • Students of any standard are welcome to attend.

 

Please be aware there are only a limited number of spaces so we advise participants to book their places quickly.

 

Fees
Participation to the Masterclass is £240. This fee does not include travel, accommodation and subsistence which delegates need to arrange for themselves.
  
Participants travelling from abroad are advised to take out travel insurance as refunds cannot be made for missed lessons.
The fee of £240 must be paid in advance either online via PayPal or by personal cheque (only if drawn from a British bank or via an International Bankers Draft)

Masterclass Concert Pianists

 

Edita StankeviciuteEdita Stankeviciute 

 

Edita Stankeviciute was born in 1969 in Lithuania. She graduated with distinction from the Lithuanian State Conservatoire in Vilnius. Following graduation, she was appointed to the teaching staff of the Lithuanian State Conservatoire and subsequently became Professor of Piano (solo and accompaniment) and embarked upon a successful teaching career. In addition, her concerts and broadcasts throughout the former USSR enhanced her already outstanding reputation as a performer.

 

In 1995, due to the health issues, Edita dedicated her career to teaching, receiving wide recognition as a musician and teacher. She has served as the piano instructor, co-director at the music school and chief music specialist of the Department of Culture in Lithuania.  There she organized and directed special musical events and recitals. She served as an adjudicator for music competitions and received special acknowledgements for her master-classes and outstanding work in developing a curriculum for students at different stages of their piano studies.  She has also worked as the Piano Lecturer at the Department of Music, Vilnius Pedagogical Institute.

 

Since 2008, Edita is a founder and Principal teacher at Windsor Piano School. Her students regularly win top prizes in the UK and abroad, including Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, USA, 5th International Rosario Marciano Competition, Vienna, Emanuel Trophies Competition, UK, XVI Nutcracker International Music Competition, Russia, EPTA International Piano Competition, Croatia, Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition and etc.

 

She is regularly invited to give Masterclass in Europe. Edita is a Visiting Professor at A.Toscanini Conservatoire,Ribera, and Bellini Conservatoire, Palermo, Sicily.

Recently, one of Edita’s students reached BBC Young Musician of the Year 2016 Category Finals.

 

 

 

Giulio PotenzaGiulio Potenza

 

Giulio Potenza (Italian, b. 1990 in Palermo) has been playing piano since the age of six and giving piano recitals since ten.

 

He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in major international festivals and venues, including: Martha Argerich’s Lugano Project in Switzerland, the Palermo Classica International Music Festival in Italy, the Ciclo de Clásica at the MEAM of Barcellona, the Grieg in Bergen International Festival in Norway, the Fringe Festival of Edinburgh in Scotland, the Hammamett Piano Festival in Tunisia, London’s Schubert Festival in England, Steinway Hall of London, St. Martin in the Fields, Conway Hall, St. John's Smith Square, Balckheat Hall, Bridgwater Hall of Manchester, Bellinzona Theater of Lugano, Marcello Theater and Baldini Hall of Rome, Auditorium St. Stafano of Florence, Stavanger Chatedral of Stavanger, Schulman Auditorium of Oxford, RAI Auditorium of Palermo, Atelier Marcell Hastir of Brussels. Giulio also performed for major music societies including: Concordia Foundation, Associazione Mozart of Rovereto, Edinburgh Society of Musicians, Associazione Il Tempietto of Rome.

 

His work with orchestras includes performances with the Florence Symphony Orchestra, directed by Piero Bellugi, the University of London Symphony Orchestra, directed by Daniel Capp and the North Beds Orchestra directed by Jan Kaznowski.

 

He has collaborated with many renowned artists such as Jose Menor, Daniel Rivera, Gabriele Baldocci, Nicolas Dupont.

 

His recitals have been recorded and broadcast by BBC Radio 3, the Swiss classical radio, Radio Mozart Italia and Rai national television (Italy).

 

Giulio has won prizes at several important piano competitions including: the Hanna Brooke prize for piano, for his excellence in the concert career at the Trinity Laban Conservatory; 2nd prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition of New York; 1st prize at the Seiler International piano competition; 1st prize at the Stratford and East London Music Festival; 1st prize at the International piano competition “G. Campochiaro” in Pedara (Italy); “Highly Commended Award” at the Jacques Samuel Piano Competition of London.

 

In addition to his teaching activity at the Windsor Piano Academy, he is the artistic director of the Windsor International Piano Competition and of the Windsor Piano Festival. He regularly gives master classes in UK and abroad and he is visiting professor at the Ribera Music Conservatory (Italy)

 

Giulio has studied with professors Gabriele Baldocci Denize Gelenbe, Mikhail Kazakevich (Trinyty Laban Conservatory, 2012-2015), Franco Scala (Imola Piano Academy, 2006-2008) and Bruno Canino (Milan, 2009-2010). He has attended master classes and lessons held by renowned pianists such as Andrzej Jasiński, Martino Tirimo, Barry Snyder, Andrei Gavrilov, Pascal Rogè, Irene Inzerillo, Riccardo Risaliti.

 

Giulio was also selected by London’s Concordia Foundation as participant to the Young Artists Programme.

 

A collaboration with Norvegian pianist Oda Voltersvik (Volt&Potenza Duo) established in 2014 underpins Giulio’s interest for four hands/two pianos compositions. The Duo’s debut CD “Khoreia”, including a commissioned contemporary work by Irish composer P. Martin, has been released in April 2016 (Velut Luna label).

 

Giulio holds Postgraduate and Artist Postgraduate Diplomas from Trinity Laban Conservatory and a Bachelor in History from University of Palermo. He completed his undergraduate music studies at the conservatory of Trapani (Italy), under professor Walter Roccaro.

 

 

 

 

Francesca VidalFrancesca Vidal

 

Francesca Vidal, born in San Donà di Piave(Venice), started playing piano at early age. 

 

In 2002 year she graduated summa cum laude at “G. ” Conservatory in Pesaro and in 2008 year she achieved the Diploma Accademico Superiore-2nd level- summa cum laude, under the supervision of M° V. Balzani, at “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan. In 2002 year she earned master’s degree, mentored under the tutelage of M°Piero Rattalino, at “Saint Cecilia Foundation” in Portogruaro (Venice). She has study with M°F. Scala, M° B. Petrushansky and M° G. Valentini at “Incontri con il Maestro” International Piano Academy in Imola and also with M° Marian Rybicki at “Alfred Cortot” Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris (France). 

 

In 2010 year she earned the “Konzert Diplom”, under the tutelage of M° Filippo Gamba, with full marks excellence at Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel in Basel (Switzerland). From 2011 year she pursued the academic career at “Santa Cecilia” Academy in Bergamo under the tutelage of M° K. Bogino and his aides.
She attended Master classes taught by M° L. Morales, M° P. Badura.Skoda, M° C. Berner, M° E. Fadini, M° M. Beroff and M° A. Jasinski. 

 

She won numerous prizes at national and international music competitions, i.e.: “Mozart Prize”, “Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe” in 1999 year, “Taddei” competition in 2003 year, “Paul Harris 2005” international competition in Milan , “Val Tidone 2005” international competition, “Valsesia Musica Monterosa Kawai” international competition in 2007 year, “Dino Ciani in the world” award plaque by Dino Ciani Association, international competition “Karl Drechsel Forderprieis” in Norimberga (Germany) in 2009 year, “Umanitaria” Competition in Milan and reached the final at the international competition “Pecar” in Gorizia, the third prize at international competition “Abano Terme City” in Abano Terme (Padua).

 

In 2014 year She won the first prize at international competition “Hyperion, Rospigliosi” in duos category and the second prize at international contest “Gaetano Zinetti” in Verona and Val Tidone (Piacenza). She performed piano concerts at renowned associations both in Italy and abroad; i.e.: “Verdi” auditorium in Milan , “Alfred Cortot” theatre for Animato Association in Paris (France), “Stora Salen” at Royal College in Stoccolma (Sweden), “Manuel De Falla” theatre in Granada (Spain), “Steiway and Sons” concert hall in Monaco (Germany), Hamamatsu Concert Hall in Hamamatsu (Japan), “Gran Teatro La Fenice” in Venice, Italian Culture Institute of Barcellona (Spain), “Grosser Saal della Musik” Academy in Basilea (Switzerland), “Cancelleria di Roma” palace in Rome on occasion of “Uto Ughi for Rome” festival, “Teatro dell’Aquila” for Sinfonica Abruzzese Orchestra, Unesco World Heritage Center in Paris (France), “PucciniHall" for Società dei Concerti in Milan Conservatory, “Pierre Giannada Martigny” Foundation in Switzerland, “Parco della Musica ” in Rome, San Girolamo church in Assisi on the occasion of “Assisi nel Mondo” festival, “Sala Mozart” Philharmonic academy in Bologna, "Piatti Hall" in Bergamo and many other esteemed organizations.

 

She performed for Italian national radio broadcaster and tv stations such as Radio Classica, Canale 5 and Italia Uno. She played with Philharmonic orchestra “Mihail Jora” in Bacau (Romania), “La Piccola Sinfonica” orchestra in Milan, Ensamble Discovery Orchestra on the occasion of MITO (Milan-Turin International Music Festival), “Cantelli” orchestra of Milan. She played chamber music V. Balzani, M. Massa and A. Vinnisky. 

 

In 2017 year with Radio TV orchestra of Kiev she performed N° 5 concert by Beethoven – M° Vladimir Sheiko conductor – at “Gesualdo da Venosa” Auditorium of Conservatory in Potenza. She has been teaching at “Achille Peri” Conservatory in Reggio Emilia and she is Art Director of International Piano Competition "Città di San Donà di Piave”. She hold several masterclasses and she has the honor of being part of the jury at several international competitions both in Italy and abroad.
