RULES FOR APPLICATION

  1. The application deadline for the 4th Windsor International Piano Competition is 1st May, 2018.
  2. Application forms can be found on our application page. You can apply via the online form or you can download and print the PDF version to be submitted by postal mail.
  3. Keep copies of all application materials. Acknowledgement of your application will be sent to you by email. If you do not hear from us within five working days, contact us immediately.
  4. The required supporting materials and fee payment must be received by: April 29th, 2018 if sent via postal mail.
  5. Required supporting materials to be mailed are:
  • Proof of age (photocopy of birth certificate or passport) – DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS.
  • A non-refundable application fee
  • CV or Biography
  • Proof of payment of application fee (non-refundable)
  • Recent passport size photo sent by postal mail or a JPEG image via email

Request for transcript of comments by judges will be available for an extra £15.

 

In absence of the documents requested on the indicated date, the registration will not be valid and participation will not be guaranteed.

 

 

ENTRY FEE

Category A and B - £50

Category C - £65

 

Payment may be made by Bank Transfer or via PayPal. The payment of bank charges and commission for conversion into sterling is the responsibility of the applicant. The entry fee is not refundable.

 

AGE GROUPS

Category A - up to 12 years old

Category B - up to 16 years old

Category C - no age limit

 

 

REGISTRATION

Registration of participants will be 10.00 - 20.00 at Windsor Piano School, 9th July 2018.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RIGHTS

The organizers reserve the right to record all the performances during the competition, for use at their own discretion for radio and television broadcasts, or other purpose. Each candidate, by signing the entry form, will renounce all rights, fees and claims regarding such recordings, films and broadcasts.

 

For any dispute concerning the interpretation of the regulation, reference will be made to the original English text of the competition regulations.

 

 

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
All contestants under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult who will carry full responsibility over the minor at any time. 
If the adult is not the contestant’s parent, a permission note will be asked from at least one of the parents upon registration.

 

Foreign competitors are responsible for obtaining their own passports and visas. Competitors should contact the nearest British Embassy or consulate for advice.

 

Competitors must pay their own accommodation and travel expenses.

 

LIABILITY
During the competition, the organizers cannot be held responsible for the consequences of incidents or accidents involving the contestants.

 

It is advised to check the personal insurance of contestants and the accompanying adult(s) in order to guarantee coverage of accidents and incidents.

 

INTERPRETATION
Should any dispute arise regarding the interpretation of any part of the rules and regulations of the Windsor International Piano Competition, the decision of the Competition Administration and Jury will be final and not subject to any appeal. No correspondence will be entered into.

 

The Competition Administration reserve the right to amend any of the rules or regulations contained herein if it is considered necessary to give proper efficacy to the running of the Competition.
